Terms of Use for LongTimer

These Terms of Use explain the rules and important limitations that apply when you use the LongTimer iOS app, the LongTimer Apple Watch app, widgets, complications, Premium features and related support services.

2. Relationship to Apple’s Standard EULA

LongTimer is distributed through the Apple App Store. Unless a separate custom license agreement is provided in App Store Connect, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement applies to the licensed use of the app.

These LongTimer Terms of Use supplement the Apple Standard EULA by explaining LongTimer-specific rules, limitations, support conditions and feature behavior. If mandatory consumer protection laws or Apple’s applicable terms provide you with rights that cannot be limited, those rights remain unaffected.

3. What LongTimer is

LongTimer is an app for creating, managing and displaying timers, longer-running reminders, templates, history entries, archive entries, Apple Watch views, widgets and complications.

LongTimer is intended for normal everyday use, for example household tasks, cooking, fermentation, gardening, study routines, training, maintenance reminders, personal organization and similar non-critical use cases.

4. What LongTimer is not

LongTimer is not intended to be used as the only reminder, alarm or control mechanism for critical situations.

You should not rely on LongTimer as the sole safeguard for:

• medical or health-critical reminders,
• life-critical, safety-critical or emergency situations,
• industrial, machine-control or high-risk technical processes,
• legally required deadlines, compliance obligations or official time limits,
• situations where a missed notification could cause injury, major damage, legal consequences or significant financial loss.

For critical use cases, always use additional independent safeguards, checks or professional systems designed for that purpose.

5. Notifications, alerts and timing accuracy

LongTimer may schedule local notifications through iOS and watchOS. However, notification delivery depends on Apple’s operating systems and device settings.

Notifications may be delayed, suppressed, redirected or not shown in certain situations, for example because of:

• notification permissions,
• Focus mode, Do Not Disturb or notification summaries,
• Apple Watch notification routing,
• device restart, battery state or low power mode,
• system background limits,
• iCloud or device synchronization delays,
• operating system bugs or temporary system conditions.

LongTimer is designed to help you keep track of timers, but it cannot guarantee that every notification will be delivered at the exact intended second or displayed on every device immediately.

6. Apple Watch, widgets and complications

LongTimer may provide Apple Watch features, widgets and watch face complications. These features rely on Apple frameworks and system scheduling.

Widgets and complications are not always live views. iOS and watchOS may cache or refresh them according to system rules. A timer that has ended, been deleted or changed may remain visible for a short time until the system refreshes the display.

Opening the iPhone app or Apple Watch app may help trigger an update, but LongTimer cannot force every widget or complication to refresh instantly in all circumstances.

7. Templates, history and archive

LongTimer may provide predefined timer templates, user-visible history and archive functions. These features are intended to make repeated timer use more convenient.

You are responsible for checking whether a template duration or timer setting is suitable for your situation before starting the timer. Template names, examples and suggested durations are general convenience features and do not replace professional guidance.

8. Premium features, purchases and subscriptions

LongTimer may offer optional Premium features, one-time purchases, subscriptions, trials or test modes. The exact Premium features may depend on the app version, platform, region and current app configuration.

Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Subscription management, cancellation, renewal, refunds and billing are handled by Apple according to Apple’s terms and App Store rules.

Auto-renewable subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled according to Apple’s subscription rules and timing. You can usually manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID subscription settings.

If Premium is not recognized immediately, you may need to restore purchases, check your Apple ID, check your internet connection, wait for App Store processing, or restart the app.

LongTimer may change, add, remove or adjust Premium features over time, provided that mandatory legal rights and existing App Store obligations remain respected.

9. Remote configuration and feature changes

LongTimer may use remote configuration to adjust app behavior, enable or disable feature flags, control rollout timing, display information, test features or respond to technical problems without requiring a full app update for every small change.

This means that some features, texts, limits, visibility rules or availability conditions may change over time.

10. User responsibility

You are responsible for:

• entering correct timer information,
• checking active timers and timer settings,
• keeping your device, iOS, watchOS and LongTimer up to date where possible,
• granting necessary permissions such as notifications,
• using additional safeguards for important or critical tasks,
• not entering unnecessary sensitive information into timer titles, notes or support tickets.

11. Support

Support for LongTimer is provided through the official LongTimer support website:

Support is not provided by telephone, direct email, private messages, App Store reviews or other unofficial channels unless explicitly stated by LongTimer.

Support requests should include relevant technical details such as app version, iOS version, watchOS version, device model, affected feature, screenshots and steps to reproduce the issue.

Support is provided on a best-effort basis. There is no guarantee of immediate response, resolution within a specific time, implementation of feature requests or support for every individual device condition.

12. Privacy

Information about how LongTimer handles personal data is provided in the LongTimer Privacy Policy. Please review the Privacy Policy before using the app or contacting support.

13. Availability and compatibility

LongTimer may require specific versions of iOS, watchOS or Apple system features. Older operating systems, older devices or unsupported configurations may not receive all features.

LongTimer may change minimum system requirements in future app versions if necessary for security, compatibility, Apple platform requirements or technical development.

14. Intellectual property

LongTimer, its design, texts, structure, app-specific graphics, app name, support content and related materials are protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws where applicable.

You may use LongTimer only as permitted by the App Store license terms, these Terms of Use and applicable law. You may not copy, modify, redistribute, reverse engineer or misuse the app except where such restrictions are not permitted by mandatory law.

15. Third-party services and platform terms

LongTimer may rely on third-party or platform services, including Apple services, Firebase services, purchase validation services, hosting providers and support software. These services may have their own terms, privacy policies and technical limitations.

LongTimer is not responsible for outages, delays, restrictions, policy changes or technical issues caused by third-party platforms or services outside LongTimer’s reasonable control.

16. Limitation of liability

LongTimer is provided for normal timer and reminder use. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LongTimer and its provider are not liable for damages caused by missed notifications, delayed widget or complication updates, incorrect user input, device settings, operating system behavior, third-party service issues, misuse of the app or reliance on LongTimer as the only safeguard for critical tasks.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is not permitted by law, including liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, or mandatory consumer rights where applicable.

17. Changes to these Terms

These Terms of Use may be updated from time to time, for example when LongTimer adds new features, changes Premium options, updates support processes, changes technical infrastructure or adapts to legal or App Store requirements.

The current version will be made available through the LongTimer support website, inside the app or through another appropriate channel.

18. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country provide otherwise.
