Why does the widget not update every second?
iOS widgets are not the same as an open app screen. They are refreshed by the system at intervals chosen by iOS. LongTimer can request updates and provide current data, but iOS decides when the widget is actually refreshed.
Open LongTimer if you need the most current state immediately.
