Why does the notification appear on my Apple Watch instead of my iPhone?
This is normal Apple behavior. If your Apple Watch is unlocked and on your wrist, iOS may route notifications to the Watch instead of showing them on the iPhone.
You can adjust notification behavior in the Watch app and in iOS notification settings.
